Biography

Bone in Tokyo, Shoji Shohei began his career as an assistant photographer in Japan. He worked for Magazine House Inc. and DENTSU Studio.
Shoji moved in NY 2007. He worked as a photo shooter at SHU AKASHI Studio. They mainly worked for commercial campaigns from all over the world, such as Hennessy, Pepsi, REVLON, SHISEIDO, Cadillac and more. He became a 1st shooter of SHU AKASHI Studio in 2008.
He graduated fine arts school in NYC at 2012 studied fine art. Shoji found how beautiful “Movement” and “MA” it is a space. And then he stated professional career.
He is specializing still life, beauty, and portrait photography. Shoji Shohei captures the movement of the all things in the nature. He is also known as light painting photographer. It looks surreal and has a very interesting effect on the senses of the viewer. Nothing in the real world looks quite like “light painting”, and that is a good thing in effective creative advertising as it creates a reason for the viewer to be interested in the photo, perhaps taking a second look.
Now, he works based in Tokyo from 2014.
